Storyboard Vidoes
This is an example of a Choker Shot. In this shot, my friend is seen close up showing her face. This shot was slightly awkward to make, because it had to be so close up and it was hard not laugh, and stay serious.
This is an example of a Close Shot. In this shot, my friend is seen from the top of her head to about mid waist. We filmed this at the door of her dorm, being able to get the necessary requirements of the shot. This was quiet easy to shoot and Cyd had fun being a part of it.
This is an example of a Close Up Shot. In this shot, I used a candle to capture a close up shot of it's flame.
This is an example of an Establishing Shot. In this shot I filmed the dorm hallway to establish location and mood of the dorms.
This is an example of a Follow Shot. In this shot, I followed my friend out the door and into the hallway of her dorms. It was a little hard to film this while keeping a steady hand.
This is an example of a High Angle Shot. In this shot, I stood on top of a table and held the camera face down to really capture the high angle. This was a little hard to make because the table was wobbly and I was trying to keep the camera still.
This is an example of a High Angle Shot. In this shot, I laid down on the floor and held the camera as low a possible to really try and capture a low angle. This was slightly difficult because the floor was cold and it took a couple times to really get the angle I thought was best.
This is an example of a Reaction Shot. In this shot, my friend is reacting to something off screen and I captured those emotions and reaction through that.
This is an example of a Pan Shot. In this shot, I used my camera to pan the dorm and capture one part of the room to another. This was a little tricky because I didn't have the correct equipment to keep the camera steady.
Hey Kayla! I liked your take on the low angle, establishing and close up shots. I thought the low angle was cool because it feels like you're looking from the angle of a small pet. I liked how you mentioned your experience having to get on the cold floor. The establishing shot of the hallway almost felt a little creepy and intimidating. It felt like a new student looking into the dorm hallway for the first time and trying to locate their room. I think it felt creepy because of how empty and dreary the hallway was. The close up shot reminded me of a stock image for relaxing candles. I like how the shot wasn't dramatic so it just felt like someone was lounging around and glanced over at their candle.
