Scenes 1-6: So the beginning starts out with lighting crash sound effects as the opening credits show. It then cuts to an iPhone on the table showing the time and the lock screen. Then we cut to an actor tapping their foot anxiously as if we are supposed to be anticipating something. We then cut to a close shot of a female actress checking her watch anxiously as well. This is supposed to make the audience anxious as well because we don't know what is happening but it is making the characters nervous so now we are reacting with them. Then, we cut to the same iPhone, but now with a text notification saying "its go time". This then cues in action music, like a  Fast and Furious scene. The actress grabs her keys off a table and we follow her off that set, and to a white Acura. 


Scenes: 7-12: After the actress gets in the car, there is a close up of the charcter starting the car, and we hear the engine rev on. Then we cut to a high angle of the car and the angle moves down while the car accelerates ahead. Then a timer in the top righ hand corner pops up reading 10:00 minutes. The next scene cuts the back of anther car and the same things happens, we follow the car at a high speed and the time now reads 9:23. Then there is a side by side shot of both car's dashboards showing the speed as they race down the street still. The final scene ends with the iPhone timer goes off.

  In the 2013 Marvel film “Agent Carter”, we can see ma ny different film elements  executed  in different ways. In the opening scene, we are seeing a  flashback  which uses a cross cutting technique . Flashbacks depict the personal experience of a character by showing a memory of a previous event and they are often used to "resolve an enigma" later appearing in the film.  The camera cuts back and forth between Agent Carter and Steve Rodger (aka Captain America).  You can hear  sad and suspenseful music in the background, which signals something troubling is about to take place. The scene cuts f rom Agent Carter and Captain America having a heartfelt conversation, and then the music and conversation slowly  dies  out and we are cut back to p resent day. The Study of Mise-En-Scene in "Split"

   I chose to comment on the mise-en-scene of the M. Night Shyamalan movie, “Split”.  I chose this film because I never got the chance to view it yet, but by from the preview I could tell that I can write a lot  about the mise-en-scene of it because of how good the trailer was. I also chose this film because Mrs.Henerson's interest of the director and how well produced his other movies are.  Setting: The movie has several settings, but I focused on three main settings. The "Bunker" where Kevin's victims are being kept, the therapists office, and anywhere outside the bunker and office. The bunker/underground setting was beyond detailed oriented and realistic, making the movie all the more interesting and life like. It feels like you are there yourself just because of how everything is placed, and decorated to seem so real.
